WHAT IS SENSORY PLAY
Sensory play is engaging children in experiences that stimulate and support their senses. This includes any activity that stimulates your young child’s senses: touch, smell, taste, movement, balance, sight and hearing. Sensory activities facilitate exploration and naturally encourage children to play, create, investigate and explore.
WHAT IS A SENSORY BOARD
A sensory board is a fun, hands-on board with attached tactile and visual objects. Sensory boards are used for babies and young children to encourage stimulation of the senses and exploration through sensory play.
